GuardianView (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides parental monitoring solutions. We are committed to protecting the privacy of your family while providing tools to help you keep your children safe online. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with our mobile application (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Account Data: Email address and display name (via Google or Apple sign-in).
- Authentication: Firebase authentication tokens used to secure your account.
1.2 Device Information
- Child device name (set by parent)
- Device pairing code (temporary, expires after use)
- Device connection status (online/offline)
- Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
1.3 Monitoring Data
To enable the parental monitoring functionality, the App installed on the child’s device collects the following data upon the parent’s request:
- Screenshots: Captured from the child’s device on demand or on a schedule. Stored as images on our servers.
- Audio Streams: Live audio from the child’s device microphone streamed to the parent in real time. Audio is not recorded or stored on our servers.

- Anonymized app usage analytics
- Crash reports and diagnostic data
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the parental monitoring service
- To authenticate your account and pair devices
- To deliver push notifications
- To process subscription payments
- To send transactional emails (e.g. welcome email)
- To improve app stability and fix bugs
Data Privacy Commitment: GuardianView does not sell, rent, or trade personal data or monitoring content to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage and Retention
- Location: All data is stored on secure servers in Europe.
- Screenshots: Automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Audio: Streamed in real time only. No recordings are stored.
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Encryption: Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS).
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate the App, including:
- Authentication and notifications providers
- Payment and subscription processing providers
- Email delivery providers
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Analytics and crash reporting providers
All providers process data only on our behalf and under strict privacy obligations. We may also share data with legal authorities when required by law.
5. Children’s Privacy
GuardianView is designed for use by parents and legal guardians. The child device component is installed and configured by the parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All monitoring data is collected under parental consent and control.
The parent is responsible for ensuring that monitoring complies with applicable laws and that the child is informed about the monitoring as appropriate for their age.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption for all data in transit and at rest
- Secure authentication with token rotation
- Signed URLs for media access
- Principle of least privilege for all service components
Despite these safeguards, no system is 100% secure, and users should take care when using any online service.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — view your screenshots and account information in the App
- Delete your account and all associated data — use the “Delete Account” option in App Settings
- Unpair child devices at any time, which stops all monitoring

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be communicated via the App or website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
